Our Story

As family members, friends, and community members who interact with the men and women who work for the Montana Highway Patrol,

we found a need to educate the Gallatin Valley community about this crucial job and the impacts these officers have within our neighborhoods.

Regardless of political or social beliefs, everyone deserves to be treated with respect based on education and awareness.

As a Junior at Montana State, I am planning on graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Arts: Lens Based Media in 2022.

The Highway Patrol is a largely thankless job that keeps our roads safe, I am glad to be more educated on how to safely navigate accidents and patrols.

I am a junior in the Montana State film program. This project has really opened my eyes to the issues that our public services face and has shown me how impactful photography can be, especially in my own community. I plan on graduating in December of 2022 to further pursue filmmaking and photography.

Through this project, I have a greater appreciation for the Highway Patrol and all men and women who risk their lives to protect ours.  I am extremely grateful for their dedication to protecting our community, even in times of hardship.

As a Senior in the Photography and Industrial & Management Systems Engineering programs, I  plan on applying my passions to improving global situations industrially and ecologically after graduation.
This resilience project has shown me how people can collaborate to make their parts in our shared world a better and safer place to live as neighbors near or far.

I’m a junior attending Montana State University enrolled in the psychology and photography programs.

This project was fascinating for me because I never fully understood the extent that the troopers go through everyday to make sure people are safe. People don’t realize how extensive and hands on this job can get. Which has given me a new appreciation for these hard working men and women.

A Junior in Photography with a minor in history, I am working on my commercial pilot's license where I can start to incorporate my passion for photography and flying.

Working on this project helped me see what these agencies have been going through the past couple of years. And the amount of work these people have put in to keep everyone safe.
