Trooper Doherty, a Butte native, left his job as an engineer because he found fulfillment in protecting his community. He joined the highway patrol in Bozeman and works around the clock to serve and protect the citizens of Gallatin County.

After being a welder for twenty years in Shreveport, Louisiana Officer Patton moved up to Bozeman to follow in the footsteps of his father, who was also a highway patrolman, and to raise his kids in beautiful Bozeman, Montana.

1395 - Montana legislation passed a law to create a law enforcement agency dedicated to keeping Montana highways safe. In between 1933-4 Montana lead the in highway deaths, jumping 74% in incident rates.

PERSPECTIVES
